About Me
Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Glasgow and Member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers. I have given more than 40 lectures to over 1500 people across 6 different countries in the UK, Europe and Asia. Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. Member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers. Education Lead for the West of Scotland Deanery Trauma and Orthopaedics Rotation.
I have a Proven track record in Leadership and Service Improvement including leading on an award winning project on Surgical Site Infection in Hip Fracture Patients,
I have multiple Research Publications in Peer Review Journals and an MSc in Surgical Science from Edinburgh University. I have given prize winning presentations and presented at both national and international conference.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, keeping fit, gardening and snowboarding.

I have worked on research projects with undergraduate trainees and have successful published with them in peer review journals.
Leadership
Lead for award winning SSI project preventing SSI in hip fracture patients. Results in GIRFT report. One Together Award. Presented on this at Medical Ground Rounds at NHS Lanarkshire and Ashford and St Peters. Business Case led to Surgical Site Surveillance Nurse being employed
Developed the NHS Lanarkshire Soft Tissue Knee Service with colleagues and the wider MDT
