I am delighted to announce that I am now a MAKO certified surgeon for Total/Unicompartmental Knee Replacement.
This technology allows for more accurate implant position while minimising soft tissue damage. This should lead to a reduced length of stay, faster recovery and lower revision rate.
Having access to the robot at NHS Golden Jubilee will also allow us to develop research studies which will help develop our understanding of these complex procedures with a few to optimising patient outcomes.
